In Season – Winter

Yes, it is freezing outside – but that doesn’t mean there isn’t lots of wonderful vegies growing!

Seeing as it is not only tastier, but cheaper to buy and eat in season – here are some delicious vegies you should look out for now 🙂


Now I know there are plenty of people that aren’t a big fan – but cauliflower is awesome … done the right way. Personally, I love it with a cheesy white sauce (recipe coming soon) and also in a curry. It takes on all the beautiful flavours and spices and is just delicious. This ginger and coriander curry. The recipe list doesn’t include cauliflower, but you can replace the chicken component and cook it for only about 10 minutes. Or, keep the chicken and add some cauliflower in during the last 10 minutes of cooking. You won’t be disapointed!

Asian greens

Why not make a fabulous stir-fry filled with bok choy and choy sum. Add some ginger, garlic, soy and rice wine vinegar, some chicken or prawns. Healthy and delicious!


Beetroot is plentiful, but often people aren’t sure what to do with it, other than roast it. Check out this gorgeous relish recipe. Amazing!
